Aidric Chan and Harmie Constantino came up with contrasting closing rounds on Sunday to rule their respective Elite divisions in the NGAP’s Northern Luzon Regional Championships at Beverly Place in Mexico, Pampanga.
Chan sputtered with a six-over-par 77 and used a 12-stroke overnight lead as cushion to win by six over Carl Corpus with a 54-hole 212 total. Corpuz shot a 71 and nipped Luis Castro, who closed out with a 68, by a shot in the event sponsored by the MVP Sports Foundation and organized by the National Golf Association of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Constantino, the former national champion, carded a 70 for 215 and a seven-shot victory over South Korea’s Shin Seo-yun, who ballooned to a 77.
Yang Ju-young matched par, and compatriot Kim Seo-yun returned a 73 to tie for third at 227, with Kristine Torralba checking in fifth at 231 after a 77.
