Kaya FC bagged three titles even as Regus Tidus FC topped the men’s open division of the 2011 Hyundai Next Generation Manila Cup Football Festival at the Greenfield City field in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, over the weekend.
Showing their immense potential, the Kaya booters ruled the boys’ 93, girls’ 93 and boys’ 96 divisions to emerge as the contingent with the most titles in the event graced by Azkals striker Ian Araneta.
Josh Anador took the Most Valuable Player award in the men’s open division, where Tidus nipped Angola FC in a penalty shootout to pocket the title of the tournament organized by the Manila Soccer Academy and Pure Play Sports Management in partnership with Hyundai Asia Resources Inc.
Kids as young as four years old saw action, with MSA and Atletico Diliman ruling the two divisions in the category.
