Between a 45-minute bus ride and a six-minute subway trip, it was an easy choice for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron James and the visiting Cavaliers had to take the New York City Subway from the Madison Square Garden to their hotel nearby after their morning shootarounds due to traffic delays.

While waiting at the 34th Street-Penn Station platform just below the Garden, James revealed that it was his first time riding the subway in NYC.
“Trying to look like a real citizen, man,” J.R. Smith said in the video posted on NBA’s Instagram.
While onboard the train, James continued documenting their quick trip on video, looking ecstatic about taking a “different mode of transporation.”

A subway rider sitting beside James, though, looked uncomfortable being filmed and had to transfer seats.
The guy, who was later identified as comedian James Michael Angelo, said in a Twitter post later that he didn’t know who James, one of the biggest basketball stars in the planet, was.

The Cavaliers defeated the Knicks, 104-101, later in the day after rallying from 15 points down in the fourth quarter. They are now at ninth place in the Eastern Division with a 7-7 record.
