Beckham wants to play for country in Olympics
MANILA, Philippines—Although talks are rife that David Beckham may just be playing one of his final games with the Los Angeles Galaxy, the English star still won’t drop a hint.
“I’ve been asked for a couple of months now, but I honestly don’t know yet,” said Beckham, who may just move back to Europe as his contract with the champion Major League Soccer (MLS) club ends this month. “It’s obviously a big decision since I’ve been part of the Galaxy for the last five years. It has been incredible, especially the past year.”

I’ve been lucky enough to be part of some of the best teams in the world and be successful. I’m very proud with the time I spent here with the Galaxy. It might continue, but at the end of the day, I haven’t made a decision yet.”
But if there’s one thing that Beckham definitely looks forward to, it’s the 2012 Olympics that London will host.
“Having the Olympics in London next year, I would love to be part of the GB (Great Britain) team especially that it’s going to be where I grew up as a child,” he said.
