Color Manila year 6 gets going Jan. 7

ColorManila gears up for its biggest and most colorful event to date, the ColorManila Run Year 6, on Jan. 7, 2018 at SM Mall of Asia Event grounds in Pasay City.

The event also known as CM Paradise Run is eyeing 15,000 runners in four distances: 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K.
As in past CM events, the runners will pass through various color stations that will be adorned this time with palm trees, garlands and hammocks.

CMR5, held last Jan. 8, witnessed a record-breaking, sold-out event with 12,000 participants.
It also received international recognition and was a finalist in the Asia Sports Industry Awards in Bangkok for the Mass Participation division and the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign for a Sports Event category.

“ColorManila started as a passion project, which grew into a company,” said ColorManila vice president Justine Cordero.
Six years after its inception, the company has seen over 150,000 runners nationwide. —VANESSA B. HIDALGO
