Branislav satisfied with Foton’s bronze finish

Serbian coach Moro Branislav is pleased with Foton’s campaign despite falling short in retaining the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix title.

The Tornadoes headed into the tournament as the reigning back-to-back champions. They finished with a 7-1 record but slipped to No. 3 behind top seed F2 Logistics and Petron due to inferior quotient.

“[I’m] satisfied. You can’t be first every time,” said Branislav on Saturday.

“It’s okay. We still finished in the podium. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t.”

Foton’s only loss in the elimination round was against Petron in four sets.

The Tornadoes lost to the Blaze Spikers again in the semifinals before they salvaged third place after shutting out Cocolife.
