AFTER LURING world-class triathletes from 19 countries, the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) vows to stage a bigger ITU-K-Swiss Subic Bay International Triathlon (Subit) competition next year.

“We will sharpen our organizational capabilities to maintain our world-class status,” said TRAP president Tom Carrasco Jr. yesterday.

The recent 18th edition of Subit at the Subic Bay Freeport drew 732 triathletes, up from the 670 participants in 2010.

“Subit next year will be bigger and better,” said Carrasco.
