“We reached out to commissioner Narvasa and we made amends for the things that needed to be clarified and work out on his personal hurts on the process. As a result of that, this morning, he submitted his resignation which was effective today,” he said.

The Board, however, asked Narvasa to stay until the end of the year to help with the transition period as communications and external affairs director Willie Marcial has been appointed as the officer-in-charge.

Narvasa’s resignation ended his two-year tenure as the league’s chief, while also concluded a standstill between the Board as the league now moves forward to a fruitful 43rd season.
