BOCAUE — Alyssa Valdez couldn’t be more proud her boyfriend Kiefer Ravena, who is off to a torrid start in his PBA career.

Valdez, the volleyball superstar, shared that she’s happy to see Ravena thrive in this new endeavor.

“We’re all proud of Kiefer,” she said after Ravena led the Road Warriors to a 115-104 win over the GlobalPort Batang Pier on Monday.

“I’m excited for him because I know that he’s waited to play in the PBA for so long, so we’re just really happy. He’s really working hard to be consistent on his performance in the PBA and Kief is very focused on what he wants to accomplish,” Valdez said. “He did so well and I’m excited on what he still can show in the coming games and in his PBA career. We’re just gonna be here to support him in his dream here in the PBA.”

It also helps that the two can draw inspiration from one another, with both of them entering new chapters in their respective careers.

Valdez has taken her talents overseas, playing for Attack Line in the Taiwan Volleyball League.

“As of now, we’re really focusing on both of our careers. Kiefer is really doing a good job, and I hope I do the same in the countries that I might go to,” she said.

And so far, the two have had nothing but good things coming their way.

Ravena is averaging 19.0 points, 8.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in his two games for the Road Warriors, while Valdez has made her Taiwanese club competitive before preparing to take her act back home next year with Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League.

“We’re just really happy for each other. We hope that the blessings continue to flow. The challenges will always be there and I hope we overcome those together,” she said.
