UST’s EJ Laure to miss UAAP Season 80 due to shoulder injury

University of Santo Tomas will have to make do without EJ Laure in its campaign in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament.

The Volleyball Reporter, Inquirer’s multiplatform volleyball resource, broke the news on Twitter Wednesday.

As per The Volleyball Reporter, Laure, one of the Tigresses’ main gunners, will skip this year’s tournament due to a chronic shoulder injury.

Laure helped UST earn a return trip to the Final Four in Season 79. Without her, the Tigresses will have to rely more on explosive hitter Cherry Rondina.

Laure was named Rookie of the Year in Season 77.
