San Beda, CSB lady tossers pull through
San Beda College regained its bearings in the final two sets to kick off its campaign with a 23-25, 25-19, 13-25, 25-19, 15-9 win over Jose Rizal University in the NCAA women’s volleyball on Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Lady Red Spikers ended the match on an 8-2 run with Ceska Raqraquin coming through in the clutch.
Article continues after this advertisementCollege of St. Benilde also recovered from a slow start for a 25-22, 25-11, 25-20 triumph over Letran.
Ranya Musa and Rachel Austero led the Lady Blazers with 14 points apiece.
Despite the rough start, San Beda coach Nemesio Gavino said it would help his players see what they need to improve on.
“This is fine by me so we can make our adjustments this early,” said Gavino. “We had a poor performance in the third set and we had to regroup, reorganize our reception and attack.”
