7Eleven Cliqq Road Bike Philippines, the country’s only continental cycling team, has drawn up a master plan to send a road cyclist to the 2020 Olympics.

Team director Ric Rodriguez confirmed that Spanish rider Edgar Nieto and Australian Jesse Ewart have left the squad, prompting 7Eleven Cliqq to focus more on Filipino riders in their international campaign.

Three-time local Tour champion Mark Galedo leads the team along with Marcelo Felipe, Rustom Lim and Nelson Martin and Japanese Daisuke Kaneko, the Road Bikers’ lone foreign rider.

Also vying to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Games are Dominic Perez, Bonijoe Martin, Rjay Peralta, Daniel Ven Carino and Warren Bordeous.
