NCAA volleyball: Arellano routs Letran for 3rd straight win

Defending champion Arellano University heated up and humbled Letran in three sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-12, in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Chiefs remained undefeated after three games to stay on top of the standings while the Lady Knights dropped to 0-3.

Necole Ebuen and Regine Arocha had 11 points apiece to lead Arellano while Jovielyn Prado added seven.

Arellano head coach Obet Javier was impressed with his team’s tenacity despite facing a winless team.

“I think everything we did in practice reflected in the game today,” said Javier in Filipino. “I feel they played with the seriousness because we talked with each other that we should defend this title we won last season.”

Glayssa Torres led Letran with seven points while Jaymeleene Parin added six.
