D-League: Pasaol still feeling his way with new team
Alvin Pasaol had to wait a little longer before he got to make his debut for Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League.
He was fielded in at the 6:16 mark of the third period, but made most of his limited time on the floor with four points, two rebounds, a steal, and a block in his almost six minutes of action.

His contributions may have been scarce in his first game in the developmental league, but Marinerong Pilipino did enough to eke out a 94-92 win over Zark’s Burger-Lyceum on Thursday.
Pasaol, though, has no qualms with the way he was used, admitting that he’s still finding his niche in the Skippers rotation.

“The skills of the players here are already at a higher level,” said Pasaol, who has teamed up with former UAAP rivals Abu Tratter and Vince Tolentino here in Marinerong Pilipino. “I’m not rushing, though, as I know I’ll slowly accept my game in the D-League.”
He believes, however, that he’ll eventually find his way in Banal’s rotation sooner or later, just in time for the Skippers’ tougher foes ahead.
“Hopefully, I find my groove so that everyone can see the Alvin Pasaol they’ve come to know. I trust coach Koy with our campaign here and I hope I can contribute more in the future,” he said.
