Racraquin rolls SBC to 4th victory
Cesca Racraquin powered San Beda to a 25-23, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15 victory over Mapua in the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The open spiker unleashed 19 points, 17 coming off kills, on top of 17 digs and 13 receptions to steer San Beda to a share of the top spot with idle Arellano at 4-0.
Ma. Nieza Viray added 14 points, Trisha Paras had 13 points, while Satriani Espritu and Maria Jiezela Viray both got 10 hits to aid the Lady Red Spikers’ cause.
Mapua, meanwhile, continued its search for a breakthrough win after absorbing its fourth straight loss.
Dianne Latayan carried the Lady Cardinals with 10 points.
Later in the day, undermanned San Sebastian still proved to be too good for St. Benilde as it came away with a 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-23 triumph.
Nikka Marielle Dalisay topscored for the Lady Stags with 19 points, 15 coming from spikes and three off blocks, while Joyce Sta. Rita had 12 points.
Daurene Santos added 11 for San Sebastian, which rose to 2-2.
