PBA All-Star voting begins on Friday

/ 03:12 PM February 13, 2018

Digos City, Batangas, and Iloilo are set to host this year’s PBA All-Star Week from May 23 to 27.

Voting for the best players to compose the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao All-Star teams will commence on Friday, with fan votes set to be accepted through online at and at various playing venues.

The polls will briefly take a break after the 2018 Philippine Cup semifinals before resuming after the Finals through the first week of the elimination round of the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup.

Gilas Pilipinas will once again be the main fixture for the three-part basketball extravaganza, this time with the national team using the midseason festivities as its preparation for the third window of the 2019 Fiba World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Last year, the Nationals and the Mindanao All-Stars battled to a draw before sweeping their games against the Luzon and Visayas All-Stars in their preparation for the 2017 SEABA Championship.

Side events like the Slam Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout, and the Obstacle Challenge will also be held for this season’s edition of the All-Star Week.
