Bulanadi uncorks 26 as Che’Lu-San Sebastian snaps skid

Allyn Bulanadi scattered 26 points as Che’Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian drubbed Jose Rizal University, 74-67, Thursday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The sweet-shooting swingman went 6-of-9 from downtown, while also grabbing three rebounds and two steals to help the Revellers snap their two-game skid and go back to an even 3-3 record.
Jeepy Faundo contributed 13 markers and nine boards, while Michael Calisaan bounced back with a solid nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocks this time out.
Che’Lu-San Sebastian coach Stevenson Tiu admitted how big of a victory this was for his team.
“This is really a big relief for us. If we lost here, I don’t think we’ll have a chance to make it to the quarters. I told the guys that if we cannot win against JRU, we can’t win against teams like Zark’s and Marinero.”
Bulanadi’s explosion allowed the Revellers to seize a 16-point lead, 66-50, before the Heavy Bombers staged a belated run which only saw them get to as close as five, 66-61, before running out of time.
Jeckster Apinan fired 14 points and eight rebounds for JRU, which has now dropped its last three outings for a 1-3 record.
