Brock Lesnar is set to meet a familiar face at WrestleMania after Roman Reigns emerged triumphant in the biggest Elimination Chamber match in WWE history on Sunday in Las Vegas.
The Big Dog will once again meet the Beast Incarnate in April, this time with the WWE Universal Championship hanging in the balance.
Reigns outlasted six other men, last pinning Braun Strowman after a trio of Superman Punches and a pair of thunderous Spears to come away with the victory and set his date with destiny.
Strowman was dominating the seven-man Elimination Chamber match, taking out Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Elias, John Cena, Finn Balor, and Seth Rollins one-by-one, before Reigns pulled through in the end.
The Monster Among Men, though, had the last laugh as he sent Reigns through one of the pods as the show came to a close.
Ronda Rousey also formally signed her WWE contract, but not without controversy as she sent WWE COO Triple H crashing through a table after Raw general manager Kurt Angle uncovered The Authority’s master plan against the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
Alexa Bliss successfully defended her Raw Women’s Championship, last eliminating Sasha Banks with a top rope DDT in the first ever women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Also part of the match were Bayley, Mickie James, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose.
The Bar also retained their Raw Tag Team Championship over Titus Worldwide after Sheamus and Cesaro connected with a White Noise-diving neckbreaker combo on Apollo.
Asuka also kept her unbeaten streak intact, reversing Nia Jax’s powerbomb attempt with a jackknife pin for the victory.
Jax, however, attacked Asuka after the match and speared her through the ringside barricade.
“Woken” Matt Hardy was successful in taking out Bray Wyatt, hitting a Twist of Fate for the three-count.
In the kickoff show, The Club topped The Miztourage after Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows connected with a Magic Killer on Curtis Axel.
