Perlas 1, Ato ni Bai rule BVR Puerto Galera leg

Charo Soriano and Bea Tan went home as the Women’s Division champions for the Puerto Galera leg of the third BVR On Tour

Perlas 1 and Ato Ni Bai ruled their recent leg of their respective divisions in the Beach Volleyball Republic (BVR) on Tour Season 3 over the weekend in Puerto Galera.

Perlas 1, composed of BVR founders Charo Soriano and Bea Tan, emerged victorious in the women’s division after topping Babylove Barbon and Genesa Eslapor of UST 1, 21-14, 26-24, in the finals.

Meanwhile, Ato Ni Bai, made up of Jade Bacalado and Calvin Sarte, bested Pemie Bagalay and KR Guzman of Kremie, 21-13, 21-17.

After another successful staging of BVR on Tour, Tan said the group is now looking to take beach volleyball to new places.

“BVR has always been frequent in Northern parts of Luzon hitting Cagayan Province, Ilocos, Pangasinan and La Union. This year it is in our plans to expand to other coastal communities of the Philippines specifically Southern Luzon areas, Visayas, and Mindanao,” she said.

The winning teams earned P30,000 each while the losing finalists took home P10,000.
