Tams rule inaugural 3×3 event

Wendel Comboy capped his tournament-long brilliance with a scintillating performance that lifted Far Eastern University to the title in the first UAAP 3×3 tournament at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

Comboy torched University of the East for 11 points to lead the Tamaraws to a 21-13 victory before a huge Sunday crowd.


Richard Escoto also made his presence felt with five points, while Kenneth Tuffin and Michael John Casino provided quality minutes, enabling the Tamaraws to roll to the crown of the demonstration event.

Escoto’s putback with 2:03 remaining wrapped up the win for the Tamaraws who overcame the La Salle Archers, 15-12, in the semifinals.


Alvin Pasaol, Jason Varilla, Mark Maloles and Philip Manalang suited up for UE.
