It’s a go for Pacquiao-Matthysse on June 24 in Kuala Lumpur.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao confirmed on Thursday that he will tangle with Argentine champion Lucas Matthysse for the World Boxing Association welterweight title at the Malaysian capital.
The bout will be jointly staged by Pacquiao’s MP Promotions and Oscar Dela Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.
“I like his aggressive fighting style. That’s what I want to entertain the boxing fans. Besides, Matthysse is not a dirty fighter and I highly respect him for that,” Pacquiao said.
Pacquiao will go to KL on March 22 for the official launching of the fight.
