Then Branislav issued a veiled threat: “To be the best, you have to beat the best. That’s what we want to do.”

The Asset Managers, on a four-game winning streak, get a crack at it when they face the Blaze Spikers Thursday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Petron coach Shaq delos Santos said they are not relaxing even with their 6-0 slate.

“The objective is to win the championship. This is a tough tournament and we have to keep on improving,” said Delos Santos.

Defending champion F2 Logistics squares off with Cignal in the other match as the top teams size each other up before the crucial rounds.
