Miserable stretch serves as lesson for Lady Falcons

Adamson is slowly recovering from a five-game stretch that could be the turning point of the Lady Falcons’ campaign in  the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament.

Although the Lady Falcons won against De La Salle in the middle of that stretch, all the other four games ended in losses for the season’s surprise contenders.

Captain Jema Galanza said they haven’t forgotten their recent losses as they use those as a lesson in their attempt for a strong push to end the season.

“We haven’t forgotten it because everything that happened to us we treated as a lesson and we need to look back on it to see what we did wrong,” said Galanza in Filipino Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Lady Falcons had improved to a stable 5-5 record after two consecutive victories including a , 25-19, 25-15, 18-25, 25-13 triumph over National U.

“We really didn’t forget it because we pulled our strength from those four losses,” said Paat who had 11 points against the Lady Bulldogs. “We may have struggled in the first round but we needed that as inspiration so we can be better in the second round.”

Galanza, who led Adamson with 16 points against NU, said that another source of motivation is proving the doubters wrong.

“We have to move forward because if that’s how we always think that we’re always losing, we can’t possibly improve as a team and start winning,” said Galanza.
