NU Lady Bulldogs WBL collegiate champs

MANILA, Philippines—Most Valuable Player Risa Mae Paig shot 25 points and National University upended Philippine Women’s University, 68-63, at the Xavier School gym recently to bag the Collegiate (25-and-under) crown of the Women’s Basketball League.

University of Santo Tomas beat Don Bosco Technical College, 67-50, for third place in the tournament organized by the Best Center and sponsored by Milo.

De La Salle-Zobel nipped Miriam College, 51-49, to top the 17-Under Competitive division, while St. Bridget School bested Saint Pedro Poveda, 28-25 to annex the 17-Under Developmental championship.
