F2 Logistics, Petron kick off 2nd round

Petron and F2 Logistics clash with Smart Prepaid and Generika-Ayala, respectively, at the start of the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix second round on Saturday at Baliwag Star Arena.

The Blaze Spikers, unbeaten in seven games of the first round, take on the winless Giga Hitters in the 4 p.m. opening match.

But Petron coach Shaq delos Santos said they can’t be complacent against the neophyte club.

“We have a goal which is to win the title,” said Delos Santos in Filipino. “We can’t take anyone lightly because all the teams want to beat us.”

The Cargo Movers, at second place with a 6-1 record, will take on the second-to-the-last team Lifesavers at 6 p.m.

“We expect an even tougher second round,” said F2 coach Arnold Laniog.

Generika Ayala will pose a serious threat after scoring an upset over Cignal HD Thursday night. —MARC ANTHONY REYES
