Lim powers UE to crown

Rising star AJ Lim gained an extra boost ahead of the country’s Davis Cup second round duel with Thailand after helping University of the East win the UAAP tennis championship for the second straight year.
Lim, who is turning 18 in May, also emerged the tournament MVP for the second consecutive year—a feat he described as very special and fulfilling as all his sacrifices paid off once again.
Article continues after this advertisement“It’s a special feeling to lead UE to another championship and to win the MVP award at the same time. Hopefully, I can sustain the momentum going into our crucial tie with the Thais,” said Lim.
The all-Filipino PH team will face the Thais on April 7 and 8.
UE also got a big boost from Lim’s brother, Numero, who is the team’s coach.
