Pao Javelona and Pamboy Raymundo stepped up and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas trounced CLS Knights, 101-63, Sunday to boost their chances for an outright semifinals berth  in the 2018 Asean Basketball League at Sta. Rosa Multi-purpose Complex in Laguna.

Javelona was sensational in the game with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds on top of four assists, and two steals, while Raymundo came off the bench and topscored with 20 markers on 3-of-3 sniping from downtown in the wire-to-wire victory.

Bobby Ray Parks added 19 points, six assists, and two boards, while Heritage Imports Justin Brownlee and Renaldo Balkman chipped in 11 markers each as they took the backseat this time.

Alab finished the eliminations tied with Mono Vampire at third place with a 14-6 record but could finish higher in the standings depending on the final game between Hong Kong Eastern and Chong Son Kung Fu on Wednesday.

The Philippine side needs the Christian Standhardinger-bannered Hong Kong squad to top Chong Son in the tiff to finish second and advance to the semifinals.

Shane Edwards carried CLS with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Brian Williams had 17 markers and 12 boards.
