Don Trollano becomes the latest Rain or Shine player to be shipped elsewhere, as he reunites with Jericho Cruz at TNT after a one-on-one deal was approved on Monday.
The 26-year-old swingman was sent by the Elasto Painters to the KaTropa in exchange of big man Norbert Torres.
Trollano averaged 3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds in 16 minutes in the 2018 Philippine Cup.
The former Adamson Falcon was drafted 15th overall by Rain or Shine in the 2015 PBA Draft.
Trollano is expected to provide a huge boost to the KaTropa’s shallow wing rotation, where he will join Cruz, Roger Pogoy, and Anthony Semerad in the shooting guard and small forward positions.
Meanwhile, Torres will bolster the Elasto Painters’ frontcourt bannered by Raymond Almazan, Beau Belga, Jewel Ponferrada, and Dexter Maiquez.
A former national team campaigner, the 28-year-old center netted 3.2 points, 3.0 rebounds in 11 minutes of play for TNT this past conference.
Torres will now be playing for his fourth team since being drafted eighth overall in the 2015 PBA Draft by Magnolia. He also played for Phoenix.
