Pontejos, JRU halt 8-game slide
Jose Rizal University saved some semblance of pride after ending its eight-game losing skid with a 98-87 victory over AMA Online Education in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup Monday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Paolo Pontejos made the big shots late for the Heavy Bombers as he dropped seven of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to fend off the Titans’ late rally that cut what was once a 20-point advantage down to just seven, 81-74 with 7:19 remaining.
