PSC calendars 17 Children’s Games all over the country
The Philippine Sports Commission organized a special edition of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco)-recognized Children’s Games in Maasin, Leyte, over the weekend in celebration of the birthday of President Duterte, who turns 73 this Wednesday.
PSC Chair Butch Ramirez said the grassroots development program of the government for kids 12 years old and younger was held right in the birthplace of the country’s Chief Executive where 702 children from 66 barangays participated in various team sports.
“The PSC celebrates the birthday of President Duterte with a big edition of the Children’s Games,” said Ramirez.

Ramirez said 17 more editions of the Children’s Games are scheduled this year, compared to last year’s 16 which included Marawi at the height of the terrorist siege that gripped the Northern Mindanao city.
