The former FEU stalwart also gave thanks to the management, headed by owner Mikee Romero, as well as the team managers, the head coaches he played for, and the GlobalPort fans for supporting him.

First of all, I would like to thank God dahil binigyan nya ko ng magandang simula sa PBA thru GlobalPort. To all the fans of GPBP na walang sawang nanunuod at sumusuporta. It has been truly an era and I am grateful sa lahat ng experience at lessons na natutunan ko. Maraming Salamat, GlobalPort and sa Neon Nation! God bless us all… On to the next! 👊🙏

Romeo was shipped to TNT on Tuesday, together win Yousef Taha in exchange for Mo Tautuaa, and the KaTropa’s 2020 first round pick and a 2021 second round pick.

Curiously, Romeo didn’t mention current head coach Pido Jarencio.

Romeo and Jarencio engaged in a heated exchange during a timeout in GlobalPort’s 79-86 quarterfinals defeat to Magnolia in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.
