Batang Gilas finishes 4th
Batang Gilas Pilipinas bowed to New Zealand, 76-60, to settle for fourth in the Fiba Under-16 Asian Championship at Foshan Lingnan Mingzhu Gymnasium in Guangdong, China, on Sunday.
Terrence Fortea had 18 points while Kai Sotto had 13 points and seven rebounds for Batang Gilas, which scored only seven points in the second period.
A 12-0 run in the second quarter gave New Zealand a 30-18 advantage, which it never relinquished.

Australia ruled the tournament with a 91-67 win over China.
