The PBA’s big men take their turn in the Obstacle Challenge—a skills event where speed and deft ball-handling are premium—when the league holds its annual All-Star Spectacle from May 23 to 27 in Davao del Sur, Batangas City and Iloilo.
Former MVP Asi Taulava of NLEX leads the big men who race against time while showing their skills in dribbling, passing and shooting in one of the featured individual events in this extravaganza where Phoenix Fuels with Phoenix Pulse Technology are the major sponsors.
Also in the provisional list of Obstacle Challenge participants are Alaska Milk’s Sonny Thoss, Ginebra’s Raymond Aguilar, Blackwater’s JP Erram, GlobalPort’s Kelly Nabong, Columbian Dyip’s Russell Escoto, Meralco’s Ken Bono, Phoenix Fuel’s Doug Kramer, Magnolia’s Aldrech Ramos, Rain or Shine’s Beau Belga, San Miguel’s Yancy de Ocampo and TNT KaTropa’s Yousef Taha.
Meanwhile, titleholder Allein Maliksi and former champs Terrence Romeo and James Yap banner the cast of gunslingers vying for the Three-Point Shoot-Out crown.
The All-Star Skills Competitions are set at the Batangas City Coliseum on May 25.
