Former national team star Stephan Schrock scored a spectacular goal and assisted on another as reigning champion Ceres-Negros blanked Global Cebu, 2-0, on Wednesday night in the Philippines Football League (PFL) at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Continuing his fine form, Schrock set up Mike Ott with a teasing cross from the right for the opener in the 13th minute, before doubling the lead at the stroke of halftime in style.

With Manny Ott’s corner landing on his spot in the middle of the box, Schrock expertly executed a scissors kick to guide the ball home to the bottom corner past Patrick Deyto for the goal of the season so far.

Mike Ott’s close range finish actually set the tone for Ceres’ dominance, as the Busmen improved to nine points after winning their first three matches.
