Aiming for the top in this year’s Asian Games, Filipino bets have found an ideal training ground in the Philippine Bowling Federation’s (PBF) Philippine International Open 2018 Tenpin Bowling Championships.

World Cup champion Krizziah Lyn Tabora heads the local cast along with Kenneth Chua and Lara Posadas, who are defending the men’s and women’s Open singles masters titles starting this Saturday at Coronado Lanes Starmall in Mandaluyong.

They will go up against bowlers from Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, among others, during the April 28 to May 13 meet.

“The countries that will participate are practically the same opponents we will meet in the Asian Games,” said bowling legend and PBF secretary general Bong Coo during the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday at Tapa King restaurant inside Farmers Market in Cubao.
