Even after his squad pulled away late in an epic Game 1 win, San Miguel Alab Pilipinas import Renaldo Balkman is under no illusion that the Filipino club will have it easy the rest of the way in the Asean Basketball League championship series.
Balkman, who had 39 points in a 143-130 overtime win over Mono Vampire in the series opener 1 last Sunday, expects another dogfight in Game 2 on Wednesday in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
“We got to come back [in Game 2] and do a better job than we did tonight,” he said.
“Giving up 143 points won’t win us this series and I am confident we will be much better,” said coach Jimmy Alapag. —CEDELF P. TUPAS
