Huge crowd welcomes PVL players at fan event

A throng of volleyball fans helped usher in the start of the new Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference with a fan event at TriNoma Mall on Friday.

Scores of admirers swarmed the activity center to get a glimpse of the players from all 14 teams in the male and female divisions of the PVL, which kicks off its new season on May 6.

The players, meanwhile, gamely interacted with fans over photo opportunities, games on stage and more.

Defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force, Creamline, Balipure, Tacloban, Iriga City, BanKo, and newcomers Paymaya and Petro Gazz paraded their rosters in the female division while Army, Air Force, Cignal, Vice, Instituto Estetico Manila, and PLDT represented the male division.

The players and PVL president Ricky Palou also awarded a check worth P100,000 to Hero Foundation, a group that helps the children of fallen soldiers in their financial and educational needs.
