Ramos is no stranger to the Elite, serving as an assistant coach under Isaac from 2015 before he returned to Indonesia in 2017 to coach Stapac Jakarta in the Indonesian Basketball League.

It will also be Ramos’ fourth tour of duty in the PBA, having stops in FedEx, Air21, and Bull back from 2012 to 2014.

Blackwater has only made the playoffs twice in its first four years in the PBA.

The Elite are off to a 0-3 start this 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, with their latest setback a 93-74 humbling at the hands of Alaska on Sunday.

Ramos will be in charge of an upstart Blackwater team groping for direction led by JP Erram, Mac Belo, Raymar Jose and import Jarrid Famous.
