5 NBA opening-day games on Premium TV

MANILA, Philippines—The NBA’s 2011-2012 season starts its 66-game schedule per team on Christmas Day (Dec. 26 in Manila).

The season tips off at 1 a.m. with the Boston Celtics opening their season against the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden.

Reigning MVP Derrick Rose takes his wares to Hollywood as the Chicago Bulls face Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers (6 a.m.).

Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and the LA Clippers will visit the Bay Area to face the Golden State Warriors (11:30 a.m.) while the Orlando Magic battles the Oklahoma City Thunder at 9:30 a.m.

The day’s most-awaited game starts at 3:30 a.m. with the rematch of the 2011 Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. The reigning champions will raise their championship banner in their home court.

All five opening day games will be aired live on NBA Premium TV on Dec. 26 from 1 a.m. until 2 p.m.
