Mayweather arrives in Manila to continue ‘country hop’

“Air Mayweather” has landed in Manila.

On board his private jet, Floyd Mayweather Jr., the former pound-for-pound boxing king, arrived here early Tuesday morning.

The Philippines is the latest stop to Mayweather’s “country hop” that began in Dubai late last month.

He has since been to Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand before heading to the Philippines.

It is unclear, however, if Mayweather will pay his longtime rival Manny Pacquiao a visit.

Mayweather beat Pacquiao by unanimous decision on May 2, 2015 in Las Vegas in the most lucrative fight in history.

The 41-year-old Mayweather came back from retirement last year and stopped MMA star Conor McGregor in a crossover fight.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, is set to challenge Lucas Matthysse of Argentina for the WBA welterweight title on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
