Praying for goodwill and trust

Go Teng Kok, national track and field association president, has sent a story which, he says, is worth pondering:
Kindly share it in keeping with this season of hope:
One cold night, a climber tried to scale a mountain. He was near the summit when rain suddenly poured. His feet slipped and he fell, but he managed to hold on to the rope.
In deep desperation, he cried, “Lord, save me!”
A voice came out of nowhere… “Give up the rope!”
He wanted to follow, but when he tried to look down, he could not see anything, it was deathly dark. He held on to the rope.
When morning came, rescuers found a dead frozen body. It was hanging just two inches from the ground.
Asks GTK: “We believe in God. But do we trust Him?”

Anyway, as a supplement to his tale, Go sent this message to Richie Garcia, chair of the Philippine Sports Commission:
“Good morning, sir. A total of 58 national sports associations, as per PSC report that came out in the newspapers, have millions in unliquidated funds. Why is it that only selective names of NSAs and their heads were identified by you? How about your known allies, like a top national Olympic committee official, and an ex-congressman who heads a non-performing NSA, which you even considered your priority sport?”

Go continued: “Since the POC cannot investigate its own big men who are NSA heads with the biggest unliquidated funds, I would plead that you, as PSC chief, lead the investigation. Challenge them to return the money. If they can’t liquidate or pay back, file a case against them, and please help those NSAs—without negative liquidation records—in their development program. It’s the only way for trust to be restored.”
