Ex-jungolfer is new PSI officer

Former jungolfer Oliver Gan makes a courtesy call to Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William “Butch” Ramirez after his appointment as NCR program officer of the Philippine Sports Institute (PSI).

Philip­pine Sports Com­mis­sion (PSC) chair Butch Ramirez re­cently ap­pointed for­mer ju­nior golf stand­out Oliver Gan as NCR pro­gram of­fi­cer of the PH Sports In­sti­tute.

Part of Gan’s role as pro­gram of­fi­cer is to as­sist the PSI in the im­ple­men­ta­tion of its grass­roots devel­op­ment pro­grams and the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of tal­ented young ath­letes as fu­ture mem­bers of the na­tional team.

“He (Gan) is com­mit­ted to help us, per­haps to [even] bridge our China con­nec­tions along the way,” Ramirez said.
