Constantino, Castro take early lead

Luis Miguel Castro returned a two-over-par 74 and Harmie Constantino fired a 71 on Monday to set the pace in the elimination round of the Philippine Junior Amateur Match Play Championship at Riviera’s Langer course in Cavite.

Carl Corpus carved out a 75 over the windswept layout as scores ballooned with Josh Jorge shooting an 80 and Paolo Wong and Carlo Villaroman carding 81s.

Constantino, chasing a second straight match play title after ruling the PH Am Open last month, opened a huge six-stroke lead over Kristine Fleetwood and Tomi Arejola in their side of the competition.
