China got an ace of a performance from pitcher Wang Xin Tu in a 4-2 victory over the Philippines on Thursday that ousted the Jr. Blu Girls from the Asian Junior 19-Under Women’s Softball Championship at Clark International Sports Complex in Pampanga.
Wang surrendered just four hits and retired eight in a no-relief job and the Chinese offense was like a well-oiled machine as China defeated the Filipinos for the second time here and entered the title game opposite Japan, which unseated Chinese Taipei with a 10-3 rout.
Kaith Ezra Jalandoni and Royeve Palma couldn’t contain the Chinese, surrendering seven hits, three in the first inning, counting homers by Jiang Xin and Xi Jiaxin.
The Japanese, on the other hand, had two homers in the third and scored another in the fourth to dethrone the Taiwanese and seal a title showdown with the Chinese, who also edged the Junior Blu Girls, 1-0, in last Sunday’s opener.
