In a heated game between Rain or Shine and GlobalPort that saw three ejections, Elasto Painters guard Rey Nambatac brought his own fire when he rocked a customized pair of Adidas Harden Vol. 2.

The former Letran star had his kicks customized with an image of Son Goku shooting a Kamehameha wave and Nambatac said it was to show love for his favorite anime.

“I’m a big fan of Dragon Ball and when I was a kid I never missed an episode,” said Nambatac in Filipino Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. “I will go home immediately after school just to watch Dragon Ball.”

Nambatac, who is under contract with adidas, said his college friend Brian Yabut did the illustration on his sneakers.

“I really planned on when I will wear this pair. I plan on wearing another customized pair next time,” said Nambatac, who finished with one rebound, one assist, and three steals in close to nine minutes of action.

Nambatac said he’s looking at wearing a red version with a Supreme look against Magnolia.
