BaliPure brews perfect mix to turn back BanKo-Perlas

BaliPure-National University is slowly getting the right blend with its young local crew and its foreign players.

On Wednesday night it, struck a mix potent enough to thwart veteran-laden BanKo-Perlas, 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 32-30, and take a share of the lead in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.

Senior high school graduate Joyme Cagante was the master brewer, tossing 54 excellent sets as the Water Defenders’ solid offense enabled them to stop a late uprising by the Perlas Spikers.

Janisa Johnson led BaliPure-NU with 30 points.
