Major networks team up to air Pacquiao-Matthysse July 15 fight

For the first time, the country’s leading TV networks and cable firms join forces in airing the much-anticipated “Fight of Champions” boxing match between pound-for-pound king, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Argentinian fighter Lucas Matthysse slated for July 15.

Major broadcast networks ABS-CBN, GMA-7, Cignal TV and Sky Cable all joined hands for a multi-platform and multi-channel airing of the bout to be held at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“In response to the clamor of boxing fans, we want to make sure that the whole world gets to watch and experience this epic fight,” said MP Promotions Head of Sales and Marketing and veteran talent manager Arnold Vegafria at the press conference for the contract signing of the partnership held on May 24 in Quezon City.
