Pocari Sweat-Air Force setter Wendy Semana could miss the remainder of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference after injuring her right ankle Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Semana suffered a high ankle sprain during the second set of their game against PetroGazz after she accidentally landed on Paneng Mercado’s foot.
Semana will undergo a medical checkup on Thursday to fully diagnose the extent of her injury.
The playmaker’s absence would be a big blow to the Lady Warriors who have now dropped to a 3-3 record after losing to the Angels, 25-19, 20-25,28-26, 25-21.
As of Sunday, Semana is at the fourth spot of the Best Setters list with an average of 6.79 excellent sets per period.
