/ 05:10 AM May 31, 2018

With the event being as daunting as it is, organizers of the first Century Tuna full Ironman have set cut-off times for all three disciplines when the event fires off on Sunday in Subic.

The pros are expected to finish the 3.8-kilometer swim, 180-km. bike and 42-km. run in just over eight hours or so, but the rest would need to hurdle specific times in all three events to continue.

A two-hour, 30-minute limit has been set in the swim event, the bike race should be completed in under 10 hours and the full marathon in 17 to ensure smooth staging of the event.

There are seven entries each in the men’s and women’s sides that will dispute the centerpiece Pro division title, while two in each category are vying in the Asian Elite. But focus will also be on the 11 age group divisions, which drew the bulk of the full Ironman participants.

Meanwhile, Ironman legends Dave Scott of the United States and Craig Alexander will hold a meet-and-greet session on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Shangri-La at The Fort.
