Australia just got a major boost for the Fiba World Cup qualifiers.

As per a statement from the Australian national team, Milwaukee’s Thon Maker and Matthew Dellavedova are set to join the undefeated Boomers in the third window of the group stages where they will face Japan and the Philippines.

The Boomers are 4-0 in Group B and are already qualified for the second round but that didn’t stop them from adding the two NBA talents to help bind the team further.

“Maintaining the connection throughout the entire group is challenging, so the inclusion of Delly and Thon is a wonderful way for us to continue to grow as an entire team,” said Boomers head coach Andrej Lemanis. “For the guys who have carried the load through the first two windows, it will be a great experience for them to play with both Delly and Thon.”

“Delly has been a part of the Boomers program for a long time now and understands the culture and it will be a good opportunity for Thon to add his influence.”

Australia is set to face on Japan on June 29 in China and the Philippines on July 2 at Philippine Arena.
